Years of repeated contractions of facial muscles can cause lines that appear on the skin surface that we refer to as wrinkles. They have become a readily identifiable part of aging.
Through the use of Botulinum toxin (Type A) , commonly known as BOTOX®, the muscles can be prevented from contracting leaving the skin smoother and looking younger. Very fine pinpoint needles are used to put minute amounts of the Botulinum just under the surface at the relevant muscle point. The treatment will be over in just a few minutes and within days you will start to see results.
The treatment deals directly with the cause of the wrinkles that is, over activity of certain muscles. Over time it has been shown that Botulinum injections can significantly reduce these muscles and re train the face to naturally reduce the intensity of the lines. Each treatment will last 3-4 months in the first year of treatment as starts to work for longer periods after that due to the muscle re-training.
This treatment has a proven track record and has been used safely for over 30 years. It is known as the best non-surgical aesthetic treatment to smooth out the face and best of all, there have been no reported long-term side effects!
Wrinkle reduction therapy works particularly well in three areas of the face.
Firstly, the horizontal lines of the forehead, secondly, the frown lines between the brows, finally the wrinkles around the eyes called crows feet.

Over time skin loses its elasticity and becomes less supple. This loss of volume is a classic sign of ageing and is particularly apparent in the lips and the area between the nose and mouth.
The connective tissue under the skin gives the tissue volume because of a constituent called hyaluronic acid (HA). Over time the body produces less hyaluronic acid and therefore loses its natural fullness. Restoring the youthful appearance of the face can simply be a matter of replacing the body’s naturally occurring HA levels
Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid. When carefully applied, just under the surface in the connective tissue layer, to specific areas it will re-volumize and enhance the look of the face.
HA dermal fillers are extremely safe products as they are completely biocompatible and utilize a naturally occurring component of the connective tissue. Treatments last between 6-9 months.
Dermal fillers can be used to fill large creases on the forehead. They are also used in the lower face to fill the depression between the nose and corner of the mouth (nasolabial line). Most famously, they are used to rejuvenate and enhance lips.
