Shubhra Lallu, BDSc MSc
Dr. Lallu completed her dental degree from the University of Melbourne in 2001. Following her undergraduate training, she completed a hospital officer post at the prestigious Monash Medical Centre where she trained and learned further under prosthodontics, endodontics and pedodontics specialists.
In 2003, Shubhra volunteered her skills in a mobile dental clinic in East Timor. She has also spent time treating homeless men and women at a day shelter in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Lallu has completed a Master of Science (MSc) with merit from King’s College, University of London in Aesthetic Dentistry, and is highly trained in facial aesthetics. She has worked consistently in private practice and moved to the UK in 2006.
Dr. Lallu treats both children and adults with a focus on preventative care. She has a keen interest in prosthodontics, restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Her focus on patient care ensures her patients feel comfortable, are well informed and receive pain free treatment.
Valerie ten Hengel, MSc
Valerie qualified from the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) in 2008. In 2007 she worked on a research project and wrote her master’s thesis at the University of Bristol. Her results were used in an article published in the European Journal of Oral Sciences in 2010.
She has worked for seven years in a number of modern clinics in the Netherlands treating patients with varying dental needs and gaining experience in all fields of dentistry. Valerie has a special interest in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She strongly believes in prevention and takes time to educate her patients about oral health. She happily treats patients of all ages and also anxious patients should feel comfortable with her. In 2015 Valerie spent time in Tanzania to voluntarily educate school children and treat patients in a local hospital. Valerie moved to the UK in 2016 and joined our team in 2017.
Valerie wants to keep up to date with new developments in dentistry and has taken several courses over the past years. This year she will be taking a course on periodontology at Eastman Dental Hospital and a course on aesthetic restorations at Northwick Park Dental Education Centre to further develop her skills.
Patients of all nationalities are welcome, but especially patients who are looking for a Dutch speaking dentist might be interested to be seen by Valerie.
