During your hygiene appointment, we will take time to explain everything to you, the main focus will be checking the health of your teeth and gums and assessing how you are doing on your cleaning to see if there is anything we can help you improve on.
The treatment itself will involve removing plaque and tartar from your teeth through scaling and polishing, leaving you with a clean mouth and all the knowledge you need to maintain it .
Dental hygiene appointments are important to ensure oral health, after all, prevention is far better than cure! There is nothing better than that post hygiene sparkling clean. We have a wonderful dental hygienist; Lucia. She is extremely dedicated, have meticulous attention to detail and are experts in their field.

Our Dental Hygienists will remove the plaque from around your teeth. Plaque is a soft, sticky substance mostly made up of bacteria that builds up on your teeth. It feeds on sugar found in the food we eat, and sugary drinks. It produces an acid that attacks the teeth by dissolving minerals in the tooth surface resulting in tooth decay and gum inflammation.
